Spicy Beef and Bean Chili

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp Hot and Spicy Seasoning Blend

1 tbsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained, and rinsed

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juice)

1 cup beef or vegetable broth

Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

2. ​Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot, and saute until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Stir in the Hot and Spicy seasoning, chili powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for another minute to release the spices' fragrance.

4. Add the beans, diced tomatoes, and broth to the pot. Stir to combine and bring the chili to a simmer.

5. Reduce heat and let the chili simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and flavorful. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

6. Serve with your choice of toppings and enjoy!
